“USAF Navigator Class 63-01 is having its annual reunion September 14-18, 1918 at Chateau on the Lake.

BILLETING: There are three levels of room accommodations: Mountain View King, Lake Front King and Partial Lake View King.  Prices vary from $ 119.00 to $ 149.00 per night according to your personal selection.  You are each required to make your own reservations no later than 90 days prior to the arrival date.   The name of the group booking is 63-01 Navigators.  The booking dates are Friday, September  14th with a departure of Monday, September 17th, 2018.

EVENTS: We also checked out some of the entertainment venues and are contacting some for group rate pricing and availability.  Several of you had requested we visit the Walton Crystal Bridges Museum in Arkansas.  That venue  is approximately two (2) hours from Branson.  We have been told this is a spectacular place to visit and recommend you go to their website to check it out. We are currently checking on the cost to obtain a small (24-30) bus for transportation to and from this destination.  Please let us know if you are interested in this outing, the transportation  will be an out of pocket cost to you.  There is no admission fee. Two possible selections we made for the group are, the Sound and Music presentation of Samson and a dinner cruise on the Lake. Sound and Music has a theater in Pennsylvania  and this one in Branson.  Again go to the website and you will find why we made this one of our choices.  As we get closer to the event  we will provide ticket costs and choices of shows and outings so you can select what is of interest to you.  We will need to have final selections from each of you by March 2018 to be able to secure group pricing and get the best tickets. The last night, Sunday, we will have our farewell  group dinner, some details to follow to later.

          Harlingen Class 61-09-- 2017 Reunion-COMPLETED--LAST ONE
DATES: Assemble Oct 24, 2017
LOCATION: San Antonio TX.
Contact Bill Day for more information--
That time has arrived, no I am not talking about TDYs or deployments,
rather it is time to make a room reservation for our October 24-28th
61-09 reunion. We are returning to the Crockett Hotel. We had our first
reunion in 1995 at this hotel. This hotel is a classy favorite for military
reunions. You will be located across the street from the Alamo and a long
block from the River Walk. Our on-site commander is Bob Gaddy. There are
other 61-09 locals that will be assisting in assuring you have a good time
in San Antonio. How to make a reservation: I strongly suggest you do it by
telephone. The number is (210) 225-6500 and request reservations. It is
important you mention Harlingen 61-09 when you make your reservations. The
rates are not cheap, none of the better River Walk hotels are cheap today.
San Antonio is becoming a preferred destination, particularly in October.
Room rates range from $139 to $189 per night. Group rates will be honored
from three days before to three days after the group block ends, based on
availability. Check-In time is 3pm and Check-Out is 12:00pm. There will be
a complimentary hot breakfast buffet and wireless internet (WIFI). You will
not like the local occupancy taxes, but Seattle’s is even worse. Be aware that
the parent organization that owns the Crockett Hotel also owns the Menger Hotel
which is kitty corner across the street. If we run into capacity problems we can
always send the overload there. I love the thought of an overload problem. The
hotel has a parking lot behind the building that serves both the Crockett and
Menger hotels. Valet parking rates are $24 a day, but there are various city
lots around the hotel who rates range from $8.00 to $20.00 a day. By reunion
time we will have these located and rates listed for you. I might suggest
you look at Google Map for the hotel location. There is a city shuttle called
“Go Express” that leaves the airport every 15-30 minutes from outside Baggage
Claim. The Crockett Hotel is one of the drop-off locales. The bus fare is $18
one way or $34 round trip. Taxi rates range from $25-$30 charge flat rate for
one to three passengers. There you have the game plan. Please make a reservation
and let me know you are coming. This will be a relaxed reunion with less emphasis
on tours and structured activity than in the past. --Bill Day
